Data Deletion Policy

BookNest provides users with the ability to permanently delete their account and the personal data associated with their account directly from within the app.

How to Delete Your Account

To delete your BookNest account and associated data:

BookNest App → Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account



                                                                          


Follow the instructions displayed in the app to complete the account deletion process.

Data That Will Be Deleted

When you delete your BookNest account, the following data associated with your account will be permanently deleted:

  • Account information
  • Email address associated with the account
  • Profile information
  • Profile picture
  • Bio and category
  • Published books
  • Draft books
  • Book chapters
  • Comments
  • Likes
  • Following relationships
  • Reading history
  • Book view and reading-related data
  • Other account-related data stored by BookNest

Book and Chapter Deletion

Users can also delete individual books and their associated chapters without deleting their entire BookNest account.

Permanent Deletion

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Once the account deletion process is completed, the associated account data will be permanently deleted from BookNest.

Data Retention

BookNest retains user data while the user's account remains active. When the user deletes their account, the associated data is deleted as described in this policy.

BookNest does not retain the deleted account data for advertising or marketing purposes.
