Data Deletion & Account Deletion

Users of Online Dokan can request deletion of their account and associated personal data at any time.

How to Delete Your Account

To request account deletion:

  1. Open the Online Dokan app.

  2. Go to Account/Profile.

  3. Select “অ্যাকাউন্ট ডিলিট করুন” (Delete Account).

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm the deletion.

If you are unable to delete your account through the app, you may use the account deletion request option provided on this page.

                                                     

Data That Will Be Deleted

When an account is deleted, we will delete or remove the personal data associated with the account, where applicable, including:

  • Name and profile information

  • Email address and phone number associated with the account

  • Delivery addresses

  • Profile photos

  • Shop information and shop images associated with the account

  • Wishlist and favorites

  • Notification and account settings

  • Reviews and ratings associated with the account

  • Buyer-seller messages associated with the account, where technically applicable

  • Other personal information associated with the account

Data That May Be Retained

Certain information may need to be retained for a limited period when required for legitimate purposes, such as:

  • Completed transaction or order records required for accounting, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or legal compliance

  • Information required to comply with applicable laws or legal obligations

  • Security or technical records that cannot be immediately removed from backups

Where retention is required, the information will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose and then deleted or anonymized when no longer required.

Deletion Requests

Account deletion is intended to permanently remove the user's account and associated personal data from active systems. Deletion may take a reasonable amount of time to complete across backups and related systems.
